Fans of movies and TV shows often explore José Gola because of notable performances, screen presence, and long-term popularity in entertainment media.
José Gola (1904-1939) was the first Argentine film actor, unlike many of his contemporaries who first started in theater. He excelled with his characteristic dull facial expressions, ideal for being captured by film. He died at a very early age in Misiones due to peritonitis while filming "Prisioneros de la tierra". After his demise, his leading character was occupied by Ángel Magaña.
